Babysitters Training (ages 11-15)
This course will prepare youth ages 11-15 to be responsible babysitters. Course includes learning to interview for a job, handling emergencies, selecting safe toys and games, supervising children, and feeding and dressing infants and toddlers. Students will practice first aid skills and will use manikins to learn rescue breathing. Class fee includes a Babysitter's Training handbook, Emergency Reference Guide and CD-Rom and a mini first aid kit. Students must be 11 years old before class begins and must attend entire session to earn certificate. |

Basic Aid Training |

Basic Aid Training (ages 8-11) $25
This course prepares students to recognize and avoid potentially harmful situations, treat common injuries and respond to emergency situations. This course teaches children how to call 911, perform rescue breathing and choking response skills. Students will practice first aid skills for burns, cuts, scrapes and bites. Participants also discuss fire escape plans and poison prevention. Each child receives an activity book. |

First Aid for Children Today (FACT)-- Ages 5-8
This class introduces an awareness of behaviors and actions that could lead to injuries or illness. It provides children with ways to prevent injuries and the first aid skills to respond to injuries. It also encourages them to make choices that will influence their health and the environment in a positive way. |
